A new CD! Yes! No! Well…. not really, because, lets face it, there are people now that don’t even have a cd player. So, not really a CD, more like an official bootleg.
6, 12 & 15 string Guitar is a collection of older recordings. Recorded somewhere between 2010 and 2017, featuring several guitars. A couple of compositions by Bach, an old Dutch Christmas tune, all on 15 string Harpguitar. Also there are several pieces on 6 and 12 string guitar.
All the pieces are acoustic guitar solo’s, with the exception of Rostock Hotel Zimmer Blues. This features guest Michel de Kok, who blows some excellent bluesharpon this track.
These recordings were partly made for release on a second solo CD. As John Lennon said ‘Life is what happens while you were making other plans.’. This CD never came to be. You may have heard some of these tunes on youtube.Here the recordings are in a better soundquality. Now for most of these tracks only stereo mixes with reverb added remain. As this makes a CD release unlikely I decided to do it this way. The recordings are not mastered, so volumes may vary, as will the equalizing. It is offered ‘warts and all’, as is.
The entire collection can be listened online, or downloaded from the soundcloud player. The download button can be found whilst playing a track. It is located on the right, right underneath the soundcloud logo, next to the share button on the right side of the player.
So, should you want to listen this music from CD, you can burn your own CD. I’ve even made a simple inlay for you, that can be printed on A4. No cutting required, just folding. It will fit in a CD box, where the booklet normally goes. OK, as it is a bit of an official bootleg, it is done in black and white ‘El Cheapo’ style.Just copy the picture at the bottom of the page.
